Last month, Aer Lingus Chief Financial Officer, Sean Coyle said he did not know if Aer Lingus would resist another attempt by Ryanair. The no-frills airline already owns 30% of the national Irish company, which recently posted very bad results. Christoph Muller, the new Executive Manager, is in fact facing an “impossible” challenge in these difficult times: cutting costs and finding new sources of revenue. Without these, he will have no say over what happens next.
